Ad Astra

There was a moment when we looked up at the stars and decided to go there. Naive? Absurd? The more we heard that, the more determined we were to go. I'm going to be an astronaut when I grow up.

This retro rocket ship dangles beneath a star that cannot decide if it exists in two dimensions or three, a faceted crystal bursting out of a child's dream of space. A turquoise porthole looks out at the future. Silver-plated zinc alloy and acrylic, approximately two and a quarter inches, alloy hooks.
